Semi-Auto Pistol Conversion  The Purpose of this course is to prepare people who qualify to carry firearms in the course of their employment, to effectively negate a life-threatening situation. This course will be conducted by Instructors who have been approved by the Commissioner of Police as a NSW Security Industry Firearms Instructor.The course of instruction will provide lectures, dicussions, video and practical training to ensure a standardisation of the accepted proven methods of defensive shooting techniques. Further the necessary skill and knowledge of non-lethal defensive techniques as required by the Security Protection Industry, will be reviewed. This curriculum will assist persons in the security industry who are required to carry a firearm in the course of their normal duties. Upon successful completion of this training course, students will understand and be able to explain liability and justification of the use of force. This curriculum will assist persons in the security industry who are required to carry a semi automatic pistol in the course of their normal duties. |
